California officials have identified the eight victims who died after a powerboat capsized on Lake Tahoe on June 21, including three from New York.

Joshua Anthony Pickles, 37, died June 21 when an unusually severe summer storm swept over the lake, causing sudden swells and fierce winds that overturned the boat he was on.

A San Francisco resident and DoorDash executive, along with his Peninsula-based parents, were among the eight victims who died in a boating accident on Lake Tahoe over the weekend.
